    When Patrón launched their new line of tequila, Extra Añejo, they looked to us to bring the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico to life by creating one of the very first mobile augmented reality applications available to consumers.

    Using their phone, users start by planting their own virtual agave plant on any flat surface or bar and watch as virtual Jimadors nurture the agave into Hacienda Patrón.

    The app brings the story of Patrón directly into consumers' homes, allowing users to engage with a bartender who highlights tasting notes and shares how the world's most famous tequila is produced.

    We also equipped the app with a screenshot and share function to easily allow our users to spread the word.

    The app gave premium tequila drinkers an immersive experience that would inform them and give them the opportunity to purchase tequila from the click of a button.

    Within the first few months, the app was downloaded more than 50,000 times and has garnered millions of consumer impressions since its launch.
